I highly doubt they would cancel E3. It's way too big of a promotion to cancel it, and their is a lot of money to made made. Wait til Monday to verify the source. I've never even heared of that news you listed.

Eh, the article was listed on RPGdot which is usually decent at handing out accurate info.

Gamespot also reported on the state of E3, but they claim it's going to have a major downsizing.

In my opinion, as an E3 attendee for the past 4 years, it's quite possible that E3 will be cancelled or dramatically downsized. This year's exhibition was by far the most disappointing and fewer companies were pouring big bucks in to the show. Money talks and if the major exhibitors are talking about leaving then E3 will fold.

I'd believe it, a ticket to E3 2006 was like 600 bucks for a private person, which means the costs must have been through the roof.

Private people aren't allowed. Only the media. If E3 is still around next spring, Hero's Hall, and the rest of the Go Level network will be attending.

Is Hero's Hall part of this "Go Level" network?

I found a place on their website where a private person could purchase a ticket, so I dunno what you're talking about.

You were looking at the pricing page which is for industry professionals that are not exhibiting or are not a member of the media.
  13. tasoli New Member

That must have been it... I could have gotten in under the Hero's Hall tag for that price right.

Yes you could, fansites are consider press and therefore allowed at e3, unless they are changing their rules next year you would be able to go.
  15. tasoli New Member

Cool... now to figure out a way to get in for free ^_^

Media attend for free, but the ESA's definition of "Media" has been refined over the years to exclude the majority of "Fan Sites".

... Not cool. Sounds like someone needs a flying elbow to the ovaries. (from Maddox http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=astrology)

Make frosty pay and have him shove you in a suitcase. We'll then poke holes in it so you can see all the different exhibits and you won't have to pay a dime. Just make sure frosty starts going to the gym on a daily basis cause he may get tired.

You'll poke the holes after you shove him in? That sounds like it could get messy. Can I watch?:D

It will be a pay per view event so by all means join in the fun.

I'm not really sure I entirely beleave this article. With an event the size of E3 you would think that it would be reported by a major news syndicate if it was to be canceled. I guess I'll see if anything comes up this week.

But they got rid of the girls anyway so whats the reason to want to go to E3 now???
