Terra Nova

It just started over here last Monday, I'm recording it onto my HD box so I can watch it all in a oner (much prefer doing series this way instead of getting into something and having to wait a week for the next episode).

Is anyone watching it? Any thoughts?

I know nothing about the plot. I'm quite 'into' Speilberg mini series after watching The Pacific and Falling Skies and SKY TV are billing this Jurassic Park-alike dinosaur adventure as their blockbuster show.

Well, if you guys/gals haven't heard already, Terra Nova has been cancelled. Supposedly Netflix is in talks about picking up the series but it doesn't look good.

The season finale seemed like it was actually going in a pretty good direction too.

I watched the first 3 episodes then wiped the rest of the series off the HD box, didn't really fancy it in the end.

It was/is one of those shows that took the whole season to find out what kind of show it wanted to be. Was it going to be a sci-fi show with time travel & alternate time-lines? A horror show with humans struggling against creatures? A teen romance drama? A family drama? A military/political drama?'

Unfortunately it tried being all of those things and by the time the finale came around which closed some of the straying story lines the executives at Fox were already on the fence about renewing it.
