What are you listening to?

There will never be another Freddie Mercury.

I'm a huge fan of live music (though I only get to about 2 or 3 concerts a year) and I believe to be a great band you need to be able to sing/perform live - Queen were right at the top of the pile when it came to live performances and in Freddie Mercury they had the perfect frontman. His show-stopping performance at Live Aid was brilliant and amazes me even more because he was reportedly suffering from a viral infection at the time.

Sadly, no.

Mrs. Kevin & I try to get to a few live shows each year as well (next up is Goo Goo Dolls in November; they are actually a pretty good band to see live). A few years back we saw the Queen + Paul Rodgers lineup but I always regret it that I never got to see Freddie Mercury live. Watching his old videos & concerts it is amazing the the skill he had in just outright commanding the stage, something very few artists are able to do.

Listening to... "Power To The People" by John Lennon

Shifting through YouTube today, started off by listening to an Alicia Keys song then made my way through songs by clicking on one in the Suggestions navigation, then another etc.....one that came up was Crazy by Seal. Love that song

Got the Zune today at work.... currently Paul Simon's Graceland album.

Bad mood so I'm listening to some stuff to help me jell out... Music Explosion from the 60's.

Jamie Lyons (the lead singer) always struck me as one of those guys that just wants to scream out at the top of lungs into some heavy metal riffs but is constrained to the music of his time.

Got to admit, I've never heard of them before





I'm listening to Manic Street Preachers singles collection

A mixed bag tonight, was listening to Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits, then put on American Anthems 2 before listening to a bit of Adele.

The Summer heat is here... the expected heat index is expected to be around 105*F this week ... so my playlist reflects that.
